Nice summary.

I think it should be stated more prominently that the vast majority
of the competition problems were known well in advance.
I very much support the call for "more problems"
(especially from "outside" sources).

The bibliography seems a bit biased towards the matrix method...
Certainly the use of SAT solvers (for various purposes)
is another new method, and you could cite some publication
by the Aprove group on that.
