Dear all,

I asked whether we want a timeout of 60 seconds or 120 seconds.

Seven people were entitled to vote.
I received five votes (including mine).
The result is: three votes for 60 seconds, two votes for 120 seconds.

So, the upcoming run of the competition will have
a 60 seconds timeout on all categories.

Let me cite two arguments that I received in email:

pro 60 seconds:

> in the past (with one exception) it always has been 60 seconds;
> now we have 16 cores and it should definitively be
> less than 60 second, not more.

pro 120 seconds:

> mainly because all the test runs were with 120 s
> and I think that the purpose of the test runs was to give some
> certainty on how things are going to run in the competition.

> For the future, I have nothing against changing it back to 60 s again,
> but then this should be announced earlier than 2 days before the
> competition and the test environment should then also work with the
> same timeout as the actual competition.

So I see the result of this vote as (another) reason
to postpone the start of the competition for a few days.
See next email.

Best regards, Johannes.
